You remember GTA: Vice City?of course you do, it was awesome. Well, a quest-giver from its neon-soaked streets has angered the Psychic Readers Network, who are suing developers Rockstar for an undisclosed amount of money.
Auntie Poulet, who briefly commands the actions of the Tommy Vercetti with some mind-bending tea, is alleged to be a direct rip-off of the PRN's "Miss Cleo" character. Both characters, in fact, were played played by the same woman, actress Youree Harris.
Harris unfortunately passed away last year, and the PRN have only just spotted the alleged similarities some fifteen years after the game's release. They are working to defend the Miss Cleo brand, which they stated to have invested over $100 million in over the years. This isn't the first time they have stepped in to defend the likeness, as they had a French Toast Crunch advert, which also featured Harris, taken off the air in 2015.
Speaking to TMZ, Rockstar simply stated that the claim was "Entirely meritless and completely ridiculous," adding that they would "vigorously defend ourselves with regard to this matter."
This situation, of course, only causes flashbacks to the infamous Lindsay Lohan case revolving around Grand Theft Auto V, that started in 2013 and only came to a conclusion last year. How'd that work out?
