News:: Nintendo Switch firmware update fixes unfortunate battery indicator issue with some extra legwork

While I like the Switch as a whole, there's no denying that it's had an uphill battle when it comes to hardware issues from the get-go.

In addition to that confirmed left Joy-Con issue the OS was fairly base level at launch, and tiny little problems have been popping up left and right -- like the battery indicator problem. Apparently for some, the battery symbol does not correctly display an accurate reading, whether it's a false deceleration of 0% or any power level above.

Enough users experienced that the battery icon was incorrect that Nintendo issued a full-on system update in 3.0.1 to fix it. You just...might need to go through the below seven step process to actually finally fix your system, as the firmware doesn't magically make it better.

Ah, modern systems.
