I still maintain that Snipperclips is one of the most underrated Switch games. Although a dedicated playerbase knows about it (enough where it's stayed on the eShop charts and has warranted an expansion), it could be a lot bigger than it is. That expansion, dubbed "Plus," could help push them to the next level though, in addition to the planned free controller update that's coming to all versions of the game.
Speaking to IGN, Nintendo’s Assistant Manager of Product Development Todd Buechele confirmed that as of next week, the base game will be getting a free update that allows Pro Controller and Joy-Con grip support. This will be live when the Plus edition arrives on November 10.
It was a long wait (seven months), but at least it's here. As I always say, controller options are great! For reference, Inti Creates went through a similar thing with Blaster Master Zero, which didn't have Pro Controller support at launch, but patched it in weeks later.
