I wasn't sure what to expect when first booting up Block'hood. The screenshots are gorgeous and it looked like a city-building game, but I had no real understanding of the mechanics or details. Now that I'm familiar with it, I'm confident in saying that this won't necessarily appeal to the hardcore city-building crowd.
That being said, it is a delightful puzzle game of intense resource management. Its focus on verticality allows the creation of things I've never quite seen before in anything similar. It's definitely not for everybody, but it has a certain charm that cannot be denied.
