Games being destructible have been a bit of a trend lately with games like Battlefield 4 and Batman: Arkham Knight having worlds that you can alter as you play through them, and while we will be seeing Massive Entertainment provide a similar effect in The Division, it won't be quite as drastic. Recently, Ryan Barnard, who is the game director on The Division, talked about how The Division will primarily be a cover-based game with destructible components, but cautioned people that they shouldn't expect landscapes to be changed because of it.
