News::Medieval RPG Kingdom Come locked in for Xbox One, PS4

I'm with Steven. If the laundry list of claims being made about Warhorse Studios' first-person medieval sandbox RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance come to fruition, this is going to be one impressive game. Hopefully it will be fun, too. You never really know how emergent systems are going to play out until you're, well, playing the actual game.

Kingdom Come was announced for PC, Mac, and Linux, with support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One dependent on approval from the powers that be. Said approval has been granted. Here's what you need to know if you are a Kickstarter backer of this project:

  • If you backed a tier with digital copy of the game, you can choose any platform you want, on any tier.

  • If you backed a tier with boxed copy and want a console version, we can send you the box and other goodies, depending on your tier. If at all possible, we will give you the disk with the game, otherwise you will get the digital version.

  • The Alpha version access is confirmed for Windows version only. We are working with other platform holders to see if it could be made available there, but we cannot promise anything yet.

  • The Beta access will be available on Windows, Linux and Mac at least; it may also be available on consoles but we cannot confirm it yet.

There's less than two days to go for the campaign and as a testament to how much people are into this concept, the game has one stretch goal remaining at £1,000,000. I think they might just pull it off, which would add a dog companion to Kingdom Come. Obviously, this must happen.
