Paul from Denkiphile: "Cellar Door Games Rogue Legacy was a title that I was genuinely interested in after hearing good things about it as well as seeing people play it. Though it looks like a generic 2D retro platformer at first glance, the gameplay that accompanies it is much more entertaining. My first thoughts upon playing the game were Wow this totally plays and feels like Maplestory. Granted, this is because the keyboard controls closely emulated that of Maplestorys since all movement of your character is done using only the keyboard. However, when played with the gamepad, the gameplay much more closely resembles that of old 2D action-adventures such as Castlevania."
