With its amazing first year on the market drawing to a close, all eyes are on the Switch and what it will do with its sophomore season. Well, all eyes that aren't on Dragon Ball FighterZ, Monster Hunter: World, and today's Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. Nonetheless, millions are wondering what's on deck for the Switch for this summer and beyond, and one title I am really looking forward to is Project: Octopath Traveler.
It's shaping up to not only be one of the most interesting games to come out of Square-Enix in some time, but also one of the most beautiful. Seriously, this thing is gorgeous. My time with the demo was brief, but it gave me just enough of a sample to know I want to try the whole thing.
Now, that demo launched back in September and not long after, a survey was sent out where people could give their feedback on it and shape Octopath Traveler's development. Forty-five thousand people responded to that survey and from those responses, the development team has put together a list of changes it's making to the game as detailed in the video below. Some of the changes are small, like holding the 'B' button to run. Others will have a greater impact, such as skippable and replayable cutscenes and a fast travel feature.
