Five Nights at Freddy's developer Scott Cawthon has released another game on Steam, and at first glance, it looks like a departure with its simple aesthetic and arcade-minded mechanics. As a restaurant owner in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, you'll "Design pizzas, feed kids, and get high scores!"
It's never that simple, though.
A quick scan of the Steam user reviews suggests there's a more detailed (and intriguing) game hiding just beneath the friendly exterior. Some slightly spoiler-y choice quotes:
- "This game is not what it claims to be..."
- "Do not be tricked by the screenshots and trailer..."
- "What just happened?"
- "After you get past the opening sequence in this game (which is just throwing pizzas as Freddy Fazbear), the game turns into an amazing hybrid of a Tycoon game and a traditional Five Nights at Freddy's game."
