News:: Mega Man Maker does what Capcom didn't

Years back Capcom was set to release a Mega Man level creator project that pre-dated Nintendo's Mario Maker called Mega Man Universe. Given the massive history Capcom could have drawn from (think of say, Battle Network assets mashed up with old school titles), it could have been something truly special. But alas, it was a victim of the Mega Man Apocalypse, where basically every vestige of the Blue Bomber outside of compilations and re-releases was erased.

A small team of fans managed to create a "Maker" of their own though, and released Mega Man Maker earlier this year. Just this week Version 1.1 hit, which provides extra content like items, tools, and weapons to use. Right now Maker clocks in at "46 enemies, 29 level objects, 12 bosses, 24 special weapons, 40 backgrounds, 129 tilesets, and 63 music tracks."

It also has an amazingly adorable mouse cursor with little googly eyes.

Version 1.1 [Mega Man Maker] Thanks Jeff!
