News:: Night Trap publisher would 'love' to port to Switch, but Nintendo declined

Years back Night Trap was released on a Sega system in an attempt to "upstage" Nintendo. Platform holders were anxious to juxtaposed their "mature" games against Nintendo's kid-friendly image, and in some cases, it paid off. Now it seems like the pseudo-war is still going on.

Over on Twitter, Limited Run Games made the comment that if Nintendo "weren't such dicks," that the 25th Anniversary Edition of Night Trap (which is out on PC, PS4, and Xbox One this week) would have arrived on Switch. Chiming in further Nicalis' Tyrone Rodriguez notes his "10 year" history with Nintendo, asking what happened -- port studio Screaming Villains explained that although they "really want" to get the game on Switch, Nintendo declined.

It sort of makes sense why, but they really don't have a leg to stand on after publisher the first two Bayonetta games, which are much more sexually charged.
