The New Day's Xavier Woods is one half of the hosting team of this year's SXSW Gaming Awards. Woods and Twitch streamer Sonja "OMGitsfirefoxx" Reed will anchor the event, which takes place on March 18.
Woods is a natural selection for this kind of thing. His YouTube channel UpUpDownDown where he highlights WWE superstars playing video games has grown to be immensely popular. Also, he's a natural at talking on the mic, certainly helped in part by the fact that he cuts promos to an audience of millions every week.
Picking Woods for the SXSW Gaming Awards almost guarantees that the show will be entertaining. Expect references to Booty-Os and unicorn horns. And, don't be surprised if Francesca 2, Woods' faithful trombone, shows up as the third co-host.
