For the second week in a row all console sales have dropped, but the bigger news may be Valkyrie Revolution's relatively low count. Despite the name change, Valkyrie Revolution opened up with 56,416 Japanese sales combined for PS4 and PS Vita. For comparison, in their respective first weeks, Valkyrie Chronicles sold 77,267, Valkyrie Chronicles 2 sold 94,444, and Valkyrie Chronicles 3 sold 102,779.
38k was good enough to land the PS4 version at the number three spot, but combined it is the second most purchased game of the week behind only Gravity Rush 2. When the first game initially went on sale for the Vita, it sold just over 43,000 copies back in 2012, so this is a considerable improvement.
