News:: Deal: GameStop has used and refurb Wii systems starting at only $39.99

Rather than leaping forward into the future of gaming for the holidays, why not take on a blast from the past with the original Nintendo Wii on sale for $40? That's what GameStop is signaling today at least with an online-only drop to $39.99 for a refurbished black Nintendo Wii + Motion Plus controller.

The price is actually really good at GameStop and $10 cheaper than worse-condition pre-owned Wii units selling for $49.99 a pop. This is an online-only offer, but funny enough if you want to pick up in store you'll have to add $30 to the cost for the exact same product with a price of $69.99.

We've also noticed two other notable Wii bundles at GameStop for $49.99. The Red version is available for sale for $49.99 and is pictured with a Motion Plus controller though we do not see the description on the page specifically saying you'll get one, so YMMV. The pre-owned Nintendo Wii for $49.99 is also $10 more and comes with only a standard Wii remote, however that is available for store pickup.

GameStop started aggressively selling off old Nintendo Wii consoles last week in its Cyber Week sale. This must be what's left in its online warehouses. No expiration date is noted so I think once supplies are gone, they're gone for the near future (until GameStop stocks up enough for a clearance sale).
