This year the movie business dealt with lower returns on sequels like Now You See Me 2, Zoolander 2, Alice in Wonderland 2, Snow White and the Huntsman 2, and Independence Day 2, and the game industry is suffering the same fate in some cases.
According to MCV, Dishonored 2's physical sales charted fourth in the UK, with a 38% decrease in sales compared to the first week of the original. Call of Duty is still on top of course with Infinite Warfare, but its sales dropped 65% during week two, something Activision doesn't seem to be too shaken by (they probably have at least two more Call of Duty games in the hopper already, so they're committed).
In other UK sales news Titanfall 2 dropped to number eight on the chart while Battlefield 1 remains at a respectable number three after nearly a month in circulation. But not every AAA game is hurting, as Star Wars Battlefront, released nearly a year ago to this day, clocks in at number 10. EA is definitely riding high this year.
