The original creators from Liquid Entertainment studio are creating an upcoming project called "Battle Realms Legends". In a question and answer message, they stated the following when comparing this project to "Battle Realms 2": "Battle Realms Legends is a collectible card game RPG set in the Battle Realms universe and continuing the stories of the characters from the original Battle Realms games. It shares design principles and some game mechanic concepts from the original games but it is not a real-time strategy game.
