The Secret World is a buy-to-play MMORPG that saw its initial release on July 3rd, 2012. Unlike most other online games on the market at the time, which tended towards either a fantasy or sci-fi theme, The Secret World was set in a version of modern-day Earth where secret societies lurk in almost every major city, all manner of creatures live among us, and just about every rumor you have ever heard is true. Since its initial release, Funcom has put out a total of 8 major content patches referred to as Issues here and given some snippets and direction of where the next two will take the game.
