Nostalgia can be a big pull for anyone who indulges in a little reminiscing from time to time. This is especially true for gamers because we can usually find a way to play an old favorite, if we so choose. However, we often dont play our old games, do we? Of course, old games, can have a very broad definition depending on when you started playing video games. Retro will, obviously, have a much different meaning for someone in their 40s than it will for someone in their 20s. What we can agree on is that there will always be old games which we like to think wed love to play again someday. When we do decide to dust off our favorite game and play it, the experience is never quite what we had hoped. Thats not to say that our old favorites are suddenly bad, but something has changed and the experience isnt the same. It is ironic that, as gamers, we possess the means to indulge our nostalgia, and yet, somehow that nostalgia is never satisfied.
