AusGamers spoke one on one with Techland producer, Tymon Smektala, who ran them through a lot of what their zombie survival title, Dying Light, is all about. While the game itself can be said to channel elements of DICE's Mirror's Edge and Techland's own Dead Island series, Smektala isn't a fan of the comparisons. "I think its a lazy thing to say," the producer asserts. "If you look at the game, it has zombies in it and its melee-based, so it is Dead Island, then you look at it again and see that the motion has that free-running aspect to it, so it is Mirrors Edge. "Of course, that description is ok, and covers the basics of Dying Light, but I dont personally really like that description because its just a very small part of the picture that were trying to paint here...
