"Game Dev Tycoon is cruel, unfair, punishing, overly-complex, and all that, but that is what makes it so important. Its an accurate simulation on a physical level, and a meaningful, influential statement underneath, whether intended or not. From its ever changing rules and fickle nature to its high player expectations and attention-garnering anti-piracy measures, its a game that isnt spectacular, but is still one that needs to be played. Anyone who cares about games, writes about games, and complains about games especially anyone who wants to make games needs to play this. At least I know Im not cut out for it."
