NinjaBee has released its city-building game A World of Keflings on Windows 8 for $6.99. This new version of the Xbox Live Arcade title sports touch controls and a picture-in-picture feature allowing players to better see what's going on in their world. Additionally, a Wii U version has been announced for release later this year.
"Both of these new platforms offered us huge advantages and were ideal marketplaces for a light-hearted city-builder," said art director Brent Fox. "Windows 8 gave us the chance to make the game mobile and add in very smooth, natural touch controls. The Wii U has allowed us to significantly enhance the game's visuals and, with the Wii U GamePad, explore new ways to interact with the game and its characters."
That Wii U version sounds worth double-dipping for. If you're unfamiliar, the Keflings games are laid-back to the point where you probably shouldn't start playing unless you can devote at least a few hours to building your city. Also, don't take too long of a break between play sessions -- everything will look unfamiliar and confusing. It's almost better to start over, at that point.
