In a recent interview with Game Informer, Yoshio Sakamoto spoke about his desire to work on another 2D Metroid. Sakamoto, who is the producer for the upcoming Samus Returns, stated that he would love to work on another 2D title, however it comes down to a major factor.
That factor being whether or not you go out and buy Metroid: Samus Returns.
