News:: Monster Hunter XX Switch port sells less than expected, yet powers Switch sales

The Nintendo Switch is back on top this past week thanks to the release of the Monster Hunter XX port for Switch. It helped drive the consoles sales to over 69,000 which is more than all other consoles combined for the week. Switch was also the only console to see an improvement from the previous week; all other consoles took a dip in sales.

The Monster Hunter XX Switch port itself did not perform as well as many expected, "only" moving 84, 277 units. The series and the console are both so popular in Japan, at least 100,000 was expected. Also new this week was The Lost Child, successor to El Shaddai. It only sold a bit over 7,000 copies, PS4 and Vita combined.
