While Metroid is a fairly popular series, many gamers haven't actually played the Gameboy iteration, Metroid 2. Not only is it relatively obscure (though available on the eShop for 3DS), but Super Metroid eclipses it in nearly every regard and often dominates the conversation about the series.
In an effort to catch everyone up to speed, Nintendo has uploaded an overview trailer for Metroid: Samus Returns, their remake of Metroid's Gameboy incarnation. If nothing else, it gives up another look at this wonderful looking experience, which I'm definitely anticipating pretty hard.
