Please understand, Square Enix is not yet ready to reveal what's happening for Final Fantasy's 30th anniversary.
I mean, we already know some stuff. There's going to be a remake of the international version of XII. The XIII trilogy is getting remastered as well. And there's the rumor that the first chapter (yep, it's episodic, remember?) of Final Fantasy VII will be released in late 2017 -- I think we'll get more at E3.
But for now, we wait. According to Famitsu, Square Enix's Shinji Hasjimoto has announced that they will reveal their plans 'soon,' beyond the Final Fantasy XIV escape rooms that are going on in Japan starting in February. I'm game for anything! I mean, they've released all their retro games into the ground, but hey, remakes and remasters of stuff they've never remade or remastered before (like XII) are fine.
