NC: Perhaps the most contentious entry for us this year is Activision and Bungie's Destiny. Love it or hate it, this is perhaps the biggest game of 2014, and the hype prior to its September launch was bordering on unreal. Here was an ambitious open world shooter from the creators of Halo, one that took place in an entirely new sci-fi universe and seemed to promise many, many good things.
