Hardcore Games - If a game is going to serve as a throwback to a classic (and arguably obsolete) genre, it helps to have a strong personality. This could not be truer of text adventures, a genre that was spawned from the technical limitations of its era. Having to use ones imagination in place of graphics in a video game seems like a foreign concept today, and demands a lot from the player. This means that a text adventure is dependent almost entirely on the strength of its writing, since that is all there is to incentivize players to experience it. Choice of the Deathless recognizes this and provides a unique experience through clever writing and complex dilemmas, with a bit of humor thrown in for good measure.
