Of course, Need For Speed has always had a rather strong run on the 7th generation of consoles especially with Burnout-famous Criteron coming aboard to command the series innovations. So, while this straddles both the current and the next-generation of consoles, its actually a perfect fit and figurehead for the future of the series on the newest consoles around.
