News:: Major PS4 update adds family features and the power to hide games

Slowly but surely, Microsoft and Sony are adding in features that come standard on the PS4 and Xbox One respectively. One of my most-requested additions for PS4 was something Microsoft added in a while back on Xbox One -- hiding games in your library.

It's a small quality of life thing, as wading through multiple betas and demos got old after a while, but Sony just added the ability to pare down your library in system update 5.50 this week. By pressing the options button in the purchased section you can hide games if you want, as well as view PlayStation Plus and PSVR games easily in a new menu.

Also coming in update 5.50 are family management features (viewing how long your child plays per day, and limiting them), supersampling mode "to improve image quality in some games when your PS4 Pro is connected to a TV with 2K resolution or lower," and custom logos and backgrounds.
