Christopher Tin, who brought us the Civilization IV theme "Baba Yetu" and won a Grammy for it, is back composing music for the strategy series. His theme for Civilization VI is called "Sogno di Volare" (the dream of flight), and here he is speaking about its creation ahead of next week's game launch.
Amusingly, Tin says this "Euro-centric" piece of music passed a very specific test. "The other way that I know I'm onto something good is my wife will come into the room and say, 'I like this!' Because if I'm writing crap music, or only so-so music, she'll just stay out in the living room. She won't wander in. But when you get the unsolicited feedback from someone, where they voluntarily come and say 'Oh, this does it for me,' then you know you're onto something."
