News::The Sims 4 initial impressions pave way for disappointment

MMGN writes: At first glance, The Sims 4 is a worthy upgrade over its predecessor. It looks significantly better, it offers a sleek, accessible UI, and the range of possibilities and emotions make The Sims 4 seem like a step above. But after only a few hours peeling away the games illusionary layer of depth, I discover that The Sims 4 is just not the game I expected it to be. Instead, it feels like an empty lot (of which there are actually plenty of within the game) that will undoubtedly offer the flexibility of added extra content down the line. This is what defines The Sims 4 in its early days: the initial foundations of a bigger house are there, just know that youll need to pay the big bucks to finish it. Its not all bad, though, and I have enjoyed by time with The Sims 4 so far, even if I do feel as though Ive hit a brick wall with what I can achieve.
