First introduced as Species 8472 in Star Trek: Voyagers third season, they have come to be known as the Undine in Star Trek Online. In the earlier seasons, they functioned as a nuisance and eventually as one of the games primary enemies. Cryptic has revealed that they will be receiving a revamp in the upcoming Season 8.5.
