News::Ubisoft on 'Assassin's Creed' in Paris: Devs 'will have little margin for error'

Whether you're a consumer, developer, publisher or just plain fan of the Assassin's Creed franchise, one of the most enjoyable things to discuss is what would be a great time period and location for the next Assassin's Creed installment. Earlier this year, Examiner.com spoke with the game director of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Ashraf Ismail and he thought it would be fun to see what the Assassin's Creed world would be like in Egypt. An intriguing setting that would be for a future iteration, and there are so many more. Recently, Examiner.com had the chance to speak exclusively with Ubisoft North America President Laurent Detoc about what it would be like and why a development team has never tackled an open-world game that is set in Paris.
