Goodbye Deponia ultimately ends the series on a high, despite some moments of questionable humour and frustration due to a lack of direction during the middle act. The complaint that Rufus is an unlikeable jerk is addressed beautifully and the ending is surprisingly sophisticated and tender. Saying goodbye to Deponia proves to be a lot more emotional than fans of the series would perhaps have expected based upon the previous two games. Its to Daedalics credit that theyve managed to wrap up so many plot threads, whilst leaving things just open enough to offer a glimmer of hope that well get to spend more time with Rufus and Goal in the future. Goodbye for now, Deponia. Well miss your quirky and unusual world and well even miss Rufus too!
