Post Arcade: "The first mobile Halo game isnt terrible, but take away the name and recognizable sights and sounds and it doesnt really stand out in any significant way. I suspect it wont keep most players engaged much beyond the time it takes to play through its 25 speedy missions. Avid Halo fans who already have a Windows 8 device may want to give it a try, but Halo: Spartan Assault isnt likely to draw many iOS or Android gamers into the Microsoft fold."
