Some might say that the music game genre is dead, but don't tell that to Ubisoft. After all, they've been hard at work creating Rocksmith 2014 Edition, the first official sequel to its 2011 guitar game Rocksmith. Unlike games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, Rocksmith uses an actual electric guitar and is designed to teach the player how to play the instrument. Roughly nine months after its release, Ubisoft added bass guitar to the game via an expansion. This time around, both guitar and bass return, though Creative Director Paul Cross says the game is brand new from the ground up.
