Nerdluster: I'm a big fan of this franchise even the Alien films that most aficionados would like to forget exist, they still have a special place in my heart. Aliens: Colonial Marines is a mixed bag as it tells a portion of a long running story that has yet to have been played out but at the same time it does so in a way that is a disservice to people who love experiencing great video games. Half-finished graphics, muddy textures, and faulty A.I. sabotage any enjoyment I could have had with the otherwise successful story elements. Collecting the different weapons and upgrading your abilities is fun, there are even some cinematic quality moments but they are over and gone in a flash. Sadly these rewards are not worth wading through the buggy gameplay to get to. There's no telling if things like this will ever be fixed with something like a patch because they are so systematic and widespread.
